Precision Tool Vices Type 3

  • High quality alloy steel (20CrMnTi) carburised to a surface hardness of HRC55-60.
  • Precision ground to a high surface finish.
  • Parallelism: 0.003mm/100mm
  • Squareness: 0.005mm/100mm
  • The moveable jaw is kept square by a block on the lower part of the jaw that slides in the ground internal guideways.
  • The moveable jaw is held down with a keep plate and two screws.
  • Prismatic moveable jaw with 1 horizontal and 1 vertical vee for holding round bar.
  • The fixed jaw has a threaded hole at each end to facilitate the fitting of end stops.
  • The sides of all these vices are slotted for easy clamping.
